Ask anyone here what they like most about Rosewood, and they'll tell you about the people before they tell you about the rings. Our staff loves the animals, and it shows in how the horses go.

    Katie Wright | Owner

    Katie is a wife and mother of three beautiful children, Mary Kathryn, William, and Harrison. Her faith, love for animals and the community led her to the vison of creating Rosewood Stables.  A place her family and others can enjoy the gift and blessing of riding horses.  Katie and her daughter, Mary Kathryn both share in this passion.

    Taylor Templin | Barn Manager/Trainer

    Horses have always been Taylor's passion, a love that took root early and led her to begin formal lessons at just four years old. Her horsemanship reflects a genuine commitment to the whole horse, and she brings that same dedication to her students, tailoring instruction to help each rider build a strong foundation and reach their goals.

    Taylor's accomplished junior career carried into collegiate competition, where she rode for the University of Alabama's IHSA and NCEA teams. Throughout her tenure, she held progressive leadership positions, serving as Secretary, Vice President, and ultimately President. 

    Taylor is thrilled to bring her experience and love of horses to Rosewood Stables, where her goal remains the same as it's always been, to help every rider fall in love with the sport the way she did.

    Johnnie Kay Wolf | Director of Operations

    Johnnie Kay grew up on a ranch in Texas where her family raised cutting horses and cattle.  She was National High School Rodeo Champion in 1988 in girls cutting representing the state of Texas.  As a junior rider, she also competed in eventing, reaching the preliminary level.  Johnnie Kay and her daughter, Sarah both share in their passion of riding and competing at the local and regional hunter/jumper shows.

    Aida Sanchez | Grand Prix Rider & Trainer

    Aida is a Dominican Republic-representing professional show jumper and trainer. She has built a reputation for producing and competing top-level show-jumping horses while developing young talent and competing internationally at the FEI level. Aida’s recent career highlights include an impressive 4th-place finish at 2025 Bolivarian Games in Lima, Peru.  In 2026, she represented Dominican Republic at the Central American Games with a 14th place individual finish and 6th team finish. In addition to her international career, Aida regularly competes at the 1.45m-1.50m level in major FEI competitions in the United States with multiple top-15 finishes.

    Deana Hunter | Camp Director/IEA Coach/Trainer

    Deana Hunter is a life-long horsewoman who has taken riders from the very beginning through National Finals and successful equestrian careers. She has coached many riders from her Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) team to D1 Equestrian programs and loves developing riders through the basics. Her focus is on safely training riders by providing strong foundations and guiding them on their riding paths.

    Caroline Monaghan | Assistant Trainer & Rider

    Caroline is an avid rider and horse lover of 20 plus years.  On both sides of her family, she has riders and trainers who helped her passion for horses grow.  Her favorite time is spending quality time with her horses and taking rides with her mom who shares her passion.
